Ryan & Nancy - More Photos!

Welcome to Bear and Penguin Photography!
We are Scott & Julia Webb, a husband and wife team based out of the beautiful little beach town of Carpinteria, California. We shoot weddings primarily in Santa Barbara, Goleta, and Carpinteria though we have traveled to other locations as well, including San Diego, Napa, and Hawai'i. We take the responsibility of recording one of the most important days of your life extremely seriously but we love to have fun with our photography. It's not uncommon to see Scott hanging off a railing with Julia desperately counterweighting at his legs to get a great shot (we're team players). You'll see us anywhere from on top of tables/chairs (particularly Julia because she's short) to lying belly down on the floor. We love to capture the little details but do not lose sight of the big picture.
Your relationship to your wedding photographer is important. Remember that you are letting us capture one of the most intimate and emotional events in your life. Take a look at our work, ask to see more pictures (believe me we have them), email us, call us, have a beer with us. What's important is that we jive with your style!

From the UK to California
Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:14PM Scott & Nicolette hail from the UK. Scott was already over in Los Angeles, traveling as the guitar technician for the indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. Nicolette came out to visit and get hitched. Their friends had been nice enough to rent them a Mustang convertible as a wedding gift ... so of course we had to get a picture. How Californian can you get with a hot blue Mustang convertible, bright blue skies, and lazy palm trees to boot??

Ryan & Nancy's Wedding @ La Playa
Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 02:30AM Julia and I just got home from Nancy & Ryan's beautiful wedding. For the past two weekends its been raining like cats and dogs here in Santa Barbara. However, the sky cleared up and the sun came out to make one very beautiful day for this lovely couple :) Here's a preview of their wedding... with much more to come!

Rachel & Devin
Sunday, March 18, 2012 at 08:25PM Rachel & Devin came up from Los Angeles for a quick ceremony at the county courthouse. We had talked to Rachel briefly on the phone and were excited to finally meet the couple. Rachel's bubbly personality was equally matched by her brilliant smile. Devin complemented her perfectly with his smooth coolness. Rachel & Devin were accompanied by a small party of friends and family including Devin's son, Devin Jr. (little D). Rachel's beautiful flowers were made by Karen from "A Smiling Garden" (http://asmilinggarden.com/).
Congratulations Rachel & Devin! We're excited to shoot a family session with you guys! :)
